Why is the name spelled wrong?
In 1991, while looking through original family photos from Italy I stumbled across some post cards. Dating back to early 1900’s, hand written by my great grandfather to my great grandmother. The post cards where sent from the US to Italy and written in Italian and all signed, Antonio DiFruscia.
At that time I asked my grandfather our sur name was spelled wrong and his response was, we actually are the ones spelling it wrong. As it turned out what I thought was my sur name in Italian was actually the “Americanized” version. How the each letter changed and when is a story for another time but as time has passed I have learned how common an American story this is.
Around the same time I was starting a small metal polishing business to fulfill the requirements of a new customer. I decided to honor my family name and to preserve the original spelling by incorporating it.

As young man I was inspired by someone dear to me, I learned from him that the DiFruscia family came from humble roots in a small ancient town in the mountains south of Rome, Italy. In this town, history can be traced directly back to the Roman Legions. This man also taught me to treat every person with respect. Have confidence in your abilities and to learn something new every day. The ideal of setting goals and achieving them, is satisfaction and inspiration in itself.
My vision has always been to build a company the will groom, nurture and sustain itself. An entity, like a family, that hands down knowledge and traditions. This vision includes building a lasting legacy that outlives us all
